The Sum Of All Things

Blah things:
- It’s dreary and raining outside
- I’m at work
- My MRI is scheduled for Friday
- I’m going to miss Smallville tonight
- I’m going to miss Lana kissing another woman. Dammit.
- I’m out of books again and need to go to the bookstore
- I didn’t have any emails waiting for me this morning
- My migraine meds aren’t working
- I spilled baby powder on my black slacks this morning and didn’t notice until I got to work
- I can’t seem to catch my thoughts – they hover just outside my ability to define them

Cheery things:
- I am going shopping with after work today
- A guy I work with is going to record Smallville for me
- is coming into town tomorrow
- is coming into town on Friday
- hooked me up with tickets to the state fair
- I get to see Los Lonely Boys and Brad Paisley this weekend
- I recruited another one! is the latest to fall victim! Bwahaha! (Am I earning toaster points? I’ve recruited quite a few people)
- brought me yummy coffee this morning
- I am wearing French cuffs and pin stripes today
- I was feeling crafty last night and started a new project
- gave me a CD with the new Eminem song and Britney Spears singing “My Prerogative” – I love that song!

And remember kids:
“Don’t forget what happened to the man who suddenly got everything he’d ever wished for…He lived happily ever after.
Wonka in Willy Wonka And The Chocolate Factory (1971)

  1. no rain over here with clear skies, so that’s a good thing.. right?

kick me in the jewish guilt nuts for making you miss smallville.. but, it is being taped, so you won’t miss it. i have my vcr at home ready to tape “lost” (i was late to work today setting up the timer.. hah!)

if you need someone to come hold your hand during your MRI on Friday, let me know. If everything pans out the way it’s supposed to, I should have Friday “off” :)

and, I bet you’re ravishingly hot in those cuffs and stripes. better keep psycho at bay.

add a cheery to your list: dinner!

  3. I’m insulted.

I suppose a quick airport lunch on Monday didn’t deserve mention in your esteemed journal. *eye roll*

    *giggle*
    I REALLY need this vacation.

  6. It was raining on the way into work this morning. I went outside on my break and the sky is clearer!

No need for the guilt nut kick - even if it weren’t being taped, I’d rahter be shopping with you :D
The hand holding is taken care of - but I really appreciate the offer! I hope your Friday off works out!!

As for ravishing, you can tell me later ;)
OH YEAH! Dinner! I still don’t know where to go. Hmm. Suggestions? Do you have any cravings?

  7. Hey, I’ll just keep it between us. I can’t have you feeling ashamed or sad. That would make me a really bad entertainer.

  8. Blah! Blah! Blah! Yakkity Schmakkity. Not looking past this weekend. How can you possibly not be looking past this weekend? *I*, the queen of all that is right with the world, am going to grace you with my presence for 2 hours. You should be on the edge of your seat with excitement!

    Harumph!

  9. aww, you’d rather be shopping…. not necessarily with me, but just shopping.. *grin*

No suggestions, honestly. I’m pretty sure I can recommend against NOT going to the rainforest cafe, unless you like so-so- food in a uberfromage environment. No cravings in particular right now — just FOOD!

I’ll peek around on guidelive and see if I can find anything good in that area. Do *you* have any cravings?

  11. I didn’t tell the whole story, though. Points for that?

    Comment by jenduf — October 6, 2004 @ 4:19 am

  12. But, but! I am on the edge of my seat! That is why I try not to think that far ahead. See, if I allowed myself to think about it, I wouldn’t be able to concentrate on anything else between now and then.

Perhaps, by Monday, I won’t look quite so crispy fried.

Not sure if you’ve read my journal the last couple of days…

    But life’s been interesting.

  16. Aww, come on, sugar britches, you know I need to see your face :D
Naa, no RFC for me. What time are we meeting up? I get off work at 5p. I can be at GVM’s at 5:05 ;) But, I think I’d like to eat first. But, that could just be because I am starving right now and didn’t eat breakfast…

    No food cravings, no…

  17. I’m trying to catch up. I saw the one about the school. That’s madness and those people are…*sigh* With all the friggin Amber Alerts and stuff out there, you’d hope that these people would be more aware! Time is critical!

I am so glad everything is okay though. *huggles*

BTW - do you know where you want to go for lunch?
