A Sneak Peak Into My Crazy Life as I Try to Get Through Nursing School,
and the Technology, Books, Movies, Music & Lyrics I Enjoy
This was a very peaceful weekend. The extra day really helped me relax.
We stayed in bed ALL day on Saturday. Since we didn’t get to sleep until after 5a that morning, it’s not quite as lazy as it sounds, but I cannot remember the last time I was in bed from dark to dark. When I awoke at 830p and SK wasn’t beside me, I was a bit confused. And then I found the note saying she had gone to get us something to eat - I am so addicted to croissants and strawberry-rhubarb jam from Le Madeline’s! Speaking of ‘addicted’, we caught the Meg Ryan movie Addicted to Love. I hadn’t seen that in ages. Meg Ryan is a hottie. If I had a list, she’d be on it!
I spent Sunday with MW. I finally saw The Incredibles. It was cute, but after all the reviews I’d heard, I was expecting more.
Yesterday, I slept in and then did some Christmas shopping. I bought a new tree skirt and all kinds of fun decorations. SK and I put up the Christmas tree last night and the Christmas ‘sit-abouts’. It’s a pretty awesome experience for me. I haven’t had a Christmas tree since I moved out of my mom’s house. Not only is this the first year for a tree, but it’s also the first year to have a tree with someone. With the decorations up, fire burning, Christmas music playing, candles lit, sitting in front of the tree sipping hot chocolate…it finally started to feel like Christmas. The sensation was magical, and I won’t cheapen it with words.

You gave me warm fuzzies! I hope Christmases just keep getting better for you. =)

Meg is most definitely a hottie.
I’m jealous. The shower in our apartment is so small that we can’t shower together anymore.

So glad to see you had a great weekend!!!
I’ll update on New York shortly.
I spent last night at the Ramada in Dallas. I was really sick, though. Didn’t want to pass on the flu, so I didn’t call. *hugs*

Thanks! You and me both

Too small? Eh, just get closer together!
Comment by jaxia — December 7, 2004 @ 1:36 pm
Aww, admit it - I scared you!
I’m still sniffling myself. Hope you feel better.
Can’t wait to read about it!!
Comment by jaxia — December 7, 2004 @ 1:37 pm
No, really. It’s pretty small.

Is it just a shower stall? Because I’m having a hard time picturing a bathtub so small that two people cannot stand in it.
Comment by jaxia — December 7, 2004 @ 2:25 pm
No, it’s a bathtub but it’s shorter than a normal tub. Here’s a picture. And of course it has that slope at the end so you can’t stand in a third of it. We could both fit in it but we wouldn’t be able to move.

That’s a tiny bathroom.
I tested mine out last night. Two people can comfortably fit in my shower, but I still need to duck a little to get under the shower head. Three can fit nicely as well, but very little movement will go on.
ummmm…. clothes were on at the time, I swear…
Comment by maskedfencer — December 7, 2004 @ 3:57 pm
Haha.
Mine probably fits two about as easily as yours fits three.

Oh Cthulhu help me. I still read “SK” as “ShadowKnight”.

Double headed shower nozzle setup.
You need one of them babe. Makes for neither one getting cold buttcheeks. :p
Glad you’re having a great time, Jaxia. Yay. /snugglies

My first char, Palize, was a DE SK. I still pause at times over that one. *sigh*

Oh, we weren’t cold. Steam is my friend. *evil grin*
But thanks for the link - I’ll look into it
And yes, I am having a fantabulous time!
*still smiling*

Long may it continue
(Lucky git :p )

Grr. I hate having to duck under the shower head. When building my own place, I made sure to stand in the shower and measure where I wanted the water to fall.

“Le Madeline’s” ??
Talk about horrible mispelling, I guess that’s bound to happen when you learn french from watching pepe le pew cartoons.
Eck, Joyeux Noel and all that sort of things
Comment by ecknerol — December 9, 2004 @ 7:38 am
Hrm, I didn’t look up the spelling, I just guessed. Does La Madeleine’s look better?
Comment by jaxia — December 9, 2004 @ 8:21 am
infinitely better
For the record, I wasn’t ranting about YOUR spelling. Past experiences have shown that it is entirely possible to have a shop using “le Madeline” as a name.
Eck, what’s in a name anyway
