Bucking hay can build muscles and also some good hand callouses. I have heard that too, but to be accurate they should say muscle is more dense than fat. Have my footware is boots, I have 5 cowboy hats, I know that tassles or fringe was to help rain run off your clothes, and not only have had steer horns on a car but had steer skulls hangin from the garage.
