A Sneak Peak Into My Crazy Life as I Try to Get Through Nursing School,
and the Technology, Books, Movies, Music & Lyrics I Enjoy
Monday’s child is fair of face,
Tuesday’s child is full of grace,
Wednesday’s child is full of woe,
Thursday’s child has far to go.
Friday’s child is loving and giving,
Saturday’s child works hard for a living,
But the child born on the Sabbath Day,
Is bonnie and blithe and good and gay.
Which are you? Is it right?

I scrolled back in my email calendar in order to find out what day I was born on.
1. I was born on a Tuesday.
2. I am not particularly full of grace.
3. I may actually contain no grace whatsoever.
4. It took a depressingly long time to scroll back through all those years.
5. You owe me something that is either chocolate, or glazed, or both.

Outlook will let me just type in the date and POOF! There’s the answer. Which do you use?
I’ll see if I can pay up. Where shall I submit proof of payment?

Have I seen a picture of you?
I was born on a Monday, too.

Hi sweetie, it’s an old friend from ATS, living in Oregon, remember me?
I am a Wednesday’s child, meaning full of woe. Maybe full of WHOA! but so little woe it’s hard to believe. Wow, your picture really threw me for a loop, I hardly recognized you

Thanks for that link Rasp

Yep I would like to think it works for me

ATS?
American Thoracic Society?
Association of Theological Schools?
Annals of Thoracic Surgery?
Airport Transfer Service?
American Tract Society?
But I know two people who live in Oregon. Which one are you?
Comment by jaxia — January 27, 2005 @ 3:12 pm
But which one are you?
Comment by jaxia — January 27, 2005 @ 3:13 pm
Lets just say I am certainly not Monday :-p

I was anonymous, but I can’t stand that, so now, I reveal my true self… alas, how we forget… ADP, Associate Training? dinner, dancing, general platonic affection…?
Chicago… any help?
Comment by luvthelipstick — January 27, 2005 @ 4:17 pm
I thought it was you, but WTF is ATS?
You are not with ADP any more. I tried to send you an email a while back and it was returned.
I guess I do look different. That was what…6 years ago?
And, since when do you reveal your true self? :p
Comment by jaxia — January 27, 2005 @ 4:46 pm
Yeah you’re like, what… 25? You guess? Completely different, I had to do the whole, cover the hair, then look just at your eyes. AND I am still at adp… I have always, against my better judgement, revealed myself to you… ; P

Hmmm So as a Monday child I am to be “Fair of Face”
Let me see how that fits witht he differnt definitions of fair:
impartial: showing lack of favoritism - My face doesn;t bring much favor so maybe
a traveling show; having sideshows and rides and games of skill etc - this one almost writes it self. “Ladies and gentleman! The worlds tallest midget is also the bearded man!!”
baseball hit between the foul lines - I have been hit betweent he eye, so maybe this works
free of clouds or rain - Have you ever been to Seattle? doesn;t work for my face
a grading term for a coin that is so worn that it is barely identifiable as to type - I am sure glad I am not a coin!!
attractively feminine; “the fair sex” - Hmmm, is it the scars or the beard that is more feminine?
average: of no exceptional quality or ability - hmmm, not very complimentary.
My conclusion is that the doctor must have lied on my birth certificate and I was actually born on Saturday!
Comment by grizzilla — January 27, 2005 @ 5:26 pm
Saturday.
I think they got it backwards.
I was just telling a friend the other day that I’m one of those “silver spoon” types that always has money from somewhere.
Comment by maskedfencer — January 27, 2005 @ 7:58 pm
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA….
There is absolutely no truth to that whatsoever. Grace, my ass. *falls out of her chair laughing*
Comment by sichernde_seele — January 27, 2005 @ 8:29 pm
I’ll be 27 this year :p
Ah well, I got tired of being called sir and grew my hair out. It’s not that drastic.
Did you change your name then? Because I’m telling you - The email bounced!
You should listen to yourself
How are the kids?
Comment by jaxia — January 28, 2005 @ 9:51 am
You think all that travel means you work hard?! How many countries did you visit last year on an expense account? I’d love your job :p
Comment by jaxia — January 28, 2005 @ 9:52 am
Gigilo
Comment by jaxia — January 28, 2005 @ 9:52 am
For my own safety, I’ll refrain from commenting :p
Comment by jaxia — January 28, 2005 @ 9:53 am
Yes, but you fell out of the chair gracefully.
or not.
Comment by maskedfencer — January 28, 2005 @ 9:59 am
I was only in 7 countries (counting the US) but that all ended 7 or so monthss ago and there is no plans for any new travel coming up. Except there is another position thatI am looking at, woudl be in a different group, possibility of a promotion and 1-2 trips a year to India.

I’m a supervisor… hilarious, isn’t it? it’s first name_last name@adp.com Did I change my name… now that would be funny, what would you suggest? The kids are great, Hanalyn is 7, a mean soccer player and toughie wrapped in pink, Quinna is 4 now, the fairy Queen. I have read about time with your nephews, I am so glad you have those, I imagine you are fabulous with kids. Sir? You’d be the cutest damned Sir I had ever seen. A man like that MIGHT actually turn me…
Comment by luvthelipstick — January 28, 2005 @ 5:49 pm
Well, you’re fair of face
Aimee says I am, too. I think she’s biased though, she’s told me she’ll marry me.
Comment by rasputinaxp — January 29, 2005 @ 9:00 pm
You? A supervisor? /faint
What are you over?
Congrats
Glad all is going well! Maybe I used a period instead? I dunno.
I’m going to Houston this weekend, so I’ll get to see my nephews
