Friday, we went out for drinks and dinner with the gay employee group from work and celebrated our 5-monthiversary. Saturday, we lazed around the house, napped and wallowed in each other’s presence. Sunday, we spent the day with her family for Easter. They’ve really accepted me with open arms, and I felt at home in her parent’s house.
The weekend was perfect – time with friends, time with just the two of us and time with family. There was a point in my life when I thought that it wasn’t possible to be this consistently happy. She’s shown me I was wrong. I’m not sure if this experience is normal, but it is the closest thing to heaven that I’ve ever known.
