Wow! What a weekend!
I coaxed SK into going with me to OK this weekend so I could play live poker. I had a blast! It happened to be the weekend of the art fair so we spent some time there before heading to the casino. I was impressed by the diversity for such a small-town art fair. Poker details are on my poker blog.
Sunday, her dad wanted to take his boat out on the lake. We drove over and it was such a gorgeous day for it! There weren’t many people out, and so it seemed as if we had the entire lake to ourselves. I remember looking over at SK where I could see her and the peaceful lake, framed by trees and the bluest sky. With the sun on my face and the wind whipping through my hair, I had to smile at the beauty in my life.

I not only read that, but recounted the story to my regular poker game buddies. we all agreed that was way up there on the sucking scale.
Right in between getting caught in your zipper and having your mom catch you with your hand up your girlfriends shirt.

I have been reading your Poker blog and I decided to try out online poker sites again. Ihave had a twice-monthly regular game and the first couple days I tried the sites but got turned off by the style of play (seems to be raise-reraise every turn if it is a limit game or “go all in on crap” if a no limit game)
So I haven’t played online since august. I decided to check it out again last ngiht since i figured that if I am layed off I should probably trim my Tivo habit down a bit and suppliment it with some online poker habits. I might even bust out some real money and add it to my unemployment
Who knows? Maybe someday you will see me on TV on a show othe than COPS?
Would it be bad to start singing “You down with WPT? Yeah you know me!”

yep I prefer the no limit hold em, but I can also do some limit hold em. We shall see once I get some real money in there.
I thing have noticed the free tournaments have much better play and peope will actually fold.

I’m playing the .10/.25 NLHE right now. The play money stuff sucks. People do go all in with crap.

totally gives you a false sense of your skills. I can regulary place in the 10 seated free tournaments, but the first 4 people are usually horrible players.
Where are you playing the real money games?
I have been plaing tournaments on Partypoker and table games at Ultimate Bet (I like how I can play more than one table at a time on ultimate bet and they can condense their UI so I can see what is goign on at all times. Makes things move a bit faster and I get to see more hands)

I don’t have any money at Party right now. I play cash games at UB and sometimes I’ll play tournaments at Poker Stars. I like UB best because of the mini view

Norman is a cool college town and you are right the arts in OK are very strong and diverse. That was my favorite part of living there. I miss it for that.
