A Sneak Peak Into My Crazy Life as I Try to Get Through Nursing School,
and the Technology, Books, Movies, Music & Lyrics I Enjoy
In the spirit of learning, I answered the challenge Doris put forth, and volunteered for the following interview:
1. What is the most acrobatic or athletic thing you can do? (foot behind your head, cartwheels, etc)
I considered changing my middle name to “limbo” but I didn’t want to stoop that low.
Ba-dum-bum.
2. Have your studies improved your poker form and how, or why not?
Since I’ve only been playing poker for about 4 months, *anything* would improve my game
Seriously though, it has helped. I was recently told that “it’s not enough to just read a book once. Read, re-read, and re-re-read them until you know the material backwards and forwards.” This is my next project.
3. What is one thing you love about your partner?
I love her compassion and intelligence; her passion and tenderness. Daily, her strength and generosity inspires me to look beyond my own self-imposed limitations and become a better person.
4. What did you want to be as a kid and how does that compare to the reality so far?
As a child, I wanted to be a doctor or a veterinarian. I went to college with the aspirations of becoming an orthopedic surgeon. Somewhere along the way, I was sidetracked and now I am a systems analyst for a web hosting company. I suppose not many people can see the connection between a doctor and a computer geek, but it’s there. Ideally, my work challenges my intelligence and creativity, and I am able to help people accomplish something they couldn’t do on their own.
5. Describe your favourite bed sheets/cover?
A room cold enough to make me want a blanket, and a blanket heavy enough to keep me warm. High thread count sheets that have been washed over and over again. Bedding that’s been washed in the perfect combination of laundry soap and fabric softener so that it smells like her.

3. What happened to “Douchebag of the Week?”
4. What is your best childhood memory?

Since you’ve taken the time to answer the questions I hope you don’t mind if I dissect your reply!
1. Oh purlease! LOL
2. I didn’t realise you were still so new to the poker scene so that has been revealed to me.
3.
You couldn’t stop at one thing…. that’s so sweet and your descriptions made me smile for you both.
4. That is so typical of many things in our dreams - we may not get what we actually desire but we do get the essence of it and so much more. Thanks for that answer
5.
Thanks - I enjoyed playing with you
