A Sneak Peak Into My Crazy Life as I Try to Get Through Nursing School,
and the Technology, Books, Movies, Music & Lyrics I Enjoy
While surfing the net today, I kept seeing rumors about Google buying Meetro, a “radius and proximity based” Instant Messaging tool. I did stumble across a link on Internetnews.com that says, “Google is expected to announce the acquisition of Meetroduction later this week.” Since it’s Thursday, I suppose if it is true, we should hear something soon.
I’m not really sure what Google is thinking, though. If they really want to break into the IM market, they already have Hello. Why don’t they use it as the base and build from there?
(I haven’t used Meetro or Hello, for the record.)
