A Sneak Peak Into My Crazy Life as I Try to Get Through Nursing School,
and the Technology, Books, Movies, Music & Lyrics I Enjoy
My sister came up this weekend for a girl’s weekend. She had a pretty rough day on Friday, so we took her to Johnny Carino’s for a pitcher of frozen peach bellinis. Yes, we ordered food, but the bellinis were our main priority!
Saturday night was game night. We had friends over and played games until 2am. I couldn’t convince enough people to play poker with me, but we did play Apples to Apples, Catch Phrase, Huggermugger and Pictionary. Apples to Apples and Catch Phrase are tons of fun with a little (okay, A LOT of) alcohol involved! And no, I didn’t say anything about the gritty stuff that gets in your parts at the beach. Sorry, Jac.
We were hoping to go to a play on Sunday, but there weren’t any shows on Sundays. I wasn’t feeling all that great, but Sister and I decided to hang out in Sundance Square and do some more shopping. The trees were strung with lights and ornaments, and they were almost finished setting up the big Christmas tree for the lighting ceremony. I also took the opportunity to introduce my sister to fried pickles at Razzoos. I love those things.
When Monday rolled around, I felt worse (fried pickles were probably not a great idea). I took Sister to the airport and went back to bed. So, if you were wondering where I’ve been…now you know.

Hmmmm, games and lots of alcohol. How long did your top stay on?

Ah, alcohol makes any game better.
Although it appears we Marist alumini have mellowed in our old age. Steve regularly drinks me and Mike under the table, and we’re always making excuses for why we can’t drink till we pass out. (First and foremost that we don’t have a wife there to drive us home.
)
And the parties we go to, we have to stay quiet because the neighbors complain.
Man, it’s like, we’re adults or something.

Brian - I had to act like a grown up since my little sister was at the party
I kept all my clothes on until I went to bed!
MF - Growing older sure does change the look of the party, doesn’t it?

So your little sister doesn’t know you are a party animal?
I remember how grown up I felt the first time I was at a party and heard someone say “Cops are here!!” and not worry about having to ditch my drink becasue I was 21….ahhh good times good times
