I confess, my HS and undergraduate grades were all over the map, depending on the teacher, the subject, and how motivated I was to understand the subject matter. Graduate school was a different story, I excelled and made nearly straight A's, except for two classes, and one was a doctoral level class. Not that I'm bragging, but I was finally in my element, which made all the difference.

JSS - That is too funny! Surgery went great, although I was very nervous.

Chumas - Actually, if they looked at my HS transcript, I'd be better off. I was an honors student and all that jazz. I went to college on a scholarship and screwed it up. I talked to admissions and they don't care. To get into this certain program I want, GPA is all that matters.

Brian - SK and I both endorse it ;) Don't worry, I just started caring about my grades this year.

I am glad to hear the surgery went well. I have been thinking about it for quite some time but wanted to know some people who have done it themselves.

Ahh grades. I still need to complete my degree, but am almost afraid to see what my college transcript will say. I didn;t reall y have to much focus around classes the last coule quarters

Contact the profs in charge of admissions with a copy of your current transcript, not your highschool one. the majority of returning college students didn't do too well then either so they'll usually make exceptions.

and yay for lasik!

Lasik really opened my eyes (pun fully intended.) It was really funny when I looked across the bedroom one night and said, "honey, there's a green dot on the wall!" She rolled over, looked at me, then announced, "It's always been there, it's the light on the smoke detector." Seems it doesn't show up during the daytime, but I had been so blind I never saw it at night without contacts/glasses.

Best of luck with the surgery.
