A Sneak Peak Into My Crazy Life as I Try to Get Through Nursing School,
and the Technology, Books, Movies, Music & Lyrics I Enjoy
I upgraded my software to Wordpress 2.0 last night, so if anything is wompyjawed, let me know. I’m also working to install a photo gallery, but I didn’t get it finished. Right now, I’m installing Gallery2 but we’ll see how it goes. My quote plugin still appears to be working, too! It had been awhile since I’d messed with my site, so it was actually a lot of fun.
It makes me wonder if I will miss being a geek.
Wait, there’s no way I could ever stop being a geek. It doesn’t matter what I’m getting paid to do.
Whew. I feel better now.

Stop being a geek? I don’t buy it. (And not a geek in taped-glasses kinda way, but, of course, a geek in the hot chick kind of way!)
And what is wompyjawed???

“Wompyjawed?” I’ve heard of “whomper-jawed” all my life, so maybe this is a variation. Hmm.
You may continue to be a geek as long as your little heart desires to be one. Hey, I’m still a geek, though I don’t get paid to be one. It’s just my friends, family, and fellow employees who think I’m a geek.

Wompyjaw - Askew, off kilter, discombobulated, out of whack
I always assumed it was southern slang. Looks like nobody really agrees on how to spell it, but I should start adding an ‘h.’
As a kid, I decided that if I ever had a rock and roll band, I’d call it Wompyjawed. Doesn’t that sound like a good rock and roll band name?

Nothing wrong with being a geek at all. I embrace my geekiness, which is weird when you see some of the other things that I am interested in. but once a geek always a geek.
