2. Well done, CJ! First guess is correct! We can’t stand Brenna and are not sure how she survived last week, but if this show were more like Survivor, I’d pay the text message fee a hundred times to vote her OFF the show. I agree with Simon: if she were singing karaoke in a bar, I’d leave (or at least throw olives at her or something so the performance would be more amusing).

   On a more positive note: there’s certainly a lot of hope for the next generation if Lisa and Paris are any indication of the kind of talent that is lurking inside teenagers these days.

3. I am not a fan of Brenna. I thought it was very telling that Simon said in the try-outs that she was not the best singer but that she seemed to like to stir things up and her response was along the lines of “It makes good TV”

   If that were me I would prefer a compliment on my singing skills, but then again I am not a pain in the neck like she is.

   What are the odds right now that either Paris or Ace are the next American Idol?

   Of course my personal favorite is Taylor Hicks. I like his style, his sounds and he can play a mean harmonica. TheGirlfriend would like him to cover every song ever written.

   And I am a bit bummed that I don;t get to look at Becky O’Donahue anymore….or her sister….

4. Taylor Hicks is my favorite, too! I haven’t quite convinced Jaxia of his greatness yet, but she’s coming around.

   However, I have to disagree with you on one point: I was very happy to see Becky O’Donahue go — she was too annoying … maybe if she just stood there with her mouth closed I would have enjoyed her more. In the looks department, Katharine McPhee is my pick (and she can sing!).

   And seriously, if Brenna doesn’t get voted off this week, I will have to seriously question America’s good judgment.

5. Katherine McPhee makes me think dirty thoughts. And I’m not ashamed to admit it. If I were a stalker, she’d be in trouble…

   The consensus of the small but knowledgeable group I discuss AI with is that Taylor is the best, but won’t win.

6. I didn;t find her annoying, butnot hat you mention it both her and her sister did have an excess of “slack-jawedness” of course I thought hey were both hot and I did have dirth thoughts that included a Jessie and Becky O’Donahue sandwich
