But, when you say "CAUGHT" (the capitalization is yours) it makes it sound as though you needed a baseball glove and, had you not been there to catch him or her, the baby would have gone shooting across the room, crashing his/her little head against the far wall. I'm assuming this vision you've put in my head is not quite accurate.
