Unfortunately I never got to witness an ECT treatment however I did have two pateints who had received it before and were back for more treatment. I had one tell me she thought it worked but the other had more doubts about it. When our school had its clinical rotation I was on the psych. unit in the hospital and let me tell you the thought of being locked on a floor with mentally ill pateints scared me but I got used to it fast. One could definately see the various extremes that some patients suffered from. Psych. definately is not everyones forte. I enjoyed my psych. rotation alot.
